About Bethel, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Located in Clermont County, Ohio, Bethel is a small village with approximately 2,800 residents. It was founded as Denham Town in 1798 and was home to one of the first movie theaters in the state. Several notable people have called Bethel home, including Ulysses S. Grant, and Cincinnati Reds pitcher Dick Scott, and many of its current residents commute to into neighboring Cincinnati for work.
While Bethel is a fairly small community, there are a few notable destinations here. The Starlite Drive-In serves as one of the last remaining drive-in theaters in the U.S., allowing to visitors to drive up to check out one of Hollywood’s latest films. History enthusiasts may like to visit the Bethel Historical Museum, which is found in the Grant Memorial Building, as it offers a glimpse at past life in the region. Nature lovers may like to check out the East Fork State Park, while wine connoisseurs might enjoy a trip to the Harmony Hill Vineyard.
The Village of Bethel area is found within a transitional area between climate zones, and it is situated within the northern peripheries of the humid subtropical zone. This leads to warm to hot summer months with high humidity. There are several days each season where temperatures rise above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and rain and storms are quite common. Local HVAC professionals recommend an energy efficient central air conditioner to help make it through these days comfortably.
Winter weather in Bethel can also be extreme, as low temperatures and snowy conditions are common. January is the coldest month of the year and features high temperatures in only the mid-30s. Overnight lows often fall below freezing – sometimes even below zero – leading to dangerous conditions both indoors and outdoors. Gas and electric furnaces should be serviced regularly to ensure they are in proper working order when these conditions strike.
